Pierre Balmain ” Florilège ” label : Pierre Balmain can be regarded as the inventor of ready-to-wear, because as a wise businessman he created this collection to give work to his seamstresses when the lack of  Haute couture orders left them unemployed. The models were made with same materials and care as Haute couture, on Stockman mannequins measures, kept in wardrobes and then altered to fit the clientes’ measurements. Regarding to the condition of this dress, we can wonder if it ever went out of its wardrobe !
